2021 is going to be – The Year of Kindness. (Do you think the world could use a little more kindness in it right now?)
Children’s is going to be spending the whole year focusing on what we can do to be kind.
If you had a new baby arrive between November of 2019 and December of 2020, this message is especially for you!
Parents, I highly recommend these books. And if you’re anything like me, you know that a well-crafted picture book can be as meaningful for adults as for children.
As we start to figure out how we’ll do Third Grade Bible presentations, one thing we know we will definitely need — Your child’s full name as you would like it to read in their Bible. We’ll make sure our calligrapher (yes, we have one of those) starts inscribing soon.
Starting September 13, each week, we will premiere new Sunday school videos called “Together Time.”
Children’s Ministry and helpers have made hand-tied knot blankets for children, 5th grade and younger! Pick yours up 10:30 am – 1:00 pm this Sunday in the west parking lot.
If this were any normal year, we’d be getting ready for our annual Third Grade Bible Retreat and Presentation, typically the third weekend in September. This is how we’ll be keeping this true touchstone moment in Children’s Ministry special and meaningful while being extra safe with your dear ones.
With the great response we had to our Virtual VBS videos, and our goal for Fall Children’s programming is to offer the same level of content and quality each week, beginning Sunday, September 13. Be on the lookout for a follow-up email inviting children to play a part!
Friends, we have important work to do. Developing empathy, compassion, and a sense of justice at an early age helps children grow into anti-racist adults. We have God and we have each other. We can do it.
