Last night we had a wonderful report at the Board of Steward’s Meeting about the recent “Focus First Leadership Summit.” And there is much excitement about specific areas of focus for our church as we move forward.
This weekend (February 9 – 10), we will have a “focus first summit” in which some of our leadership in the church will meet about the “Focus First” process we’ve been engaged in with consultant Susan Beaumont since July of 2017.
In recent weeks you may or may not have noticed that many people have participated in what has been called “Focus First” Groups throughout our church. Whether you have been here 70 years or just 7 days, your voice matters.
Almost 280 years ago, a teaching fellow at Lincoln College in Oxford, England, was awestruck by an experience about which he later wrote in his journal “I felt my heart was strangely warmed.”
NEWS FLASH: Our church might be in a “parallel process” of sorts with the NFL (especially the Dallas Cowboys). Surely some of you noticed the drama that grew over the last weekend.
This past Sunday Dr. Jim Riddlesperger presented to us some deeply disturbing contrasts in the “First Talks” Class (in room 350 at 9:30.)
