Several times over a number of years, Rev. Chuck Graff has led an amazing retreat in the wilderness of Ontario, Canada. All men interested in this exciting outdoor retreat adventure and fishing from September 15 – 24, 2017, are invited to an informational meeting to learn more.
Whenever the FUMCFW Outdoor Retreat Ministry hits the road, our compass always points to good adventure in the great outdoors. From destinations deep in the heart of Texas, around the Beavers Bend in Broken Bow, and across the Great Plains to Canada, we’ve been all over the map — in our neck of the woods and beyond!
Want to update your camping skills for those fly fishing trips, backpacking, or camping in wilderness areas? This class is the perfect opportunity to learn about a variety of camping topics, including selection and care of tents, backpacks and day packs, stoves, hiking boots, clothing, sleeping bags and sleeping pads, as well as meal and trip planning.
Our FUMCFW Outdoor Ministries have had an outstanding response over the past several years as members and guests of all ages (a real intergenerational experience) have enjoyed retreating to various state parks for spiritual renewal, outdoor activities (nature hikes, biking, fishing, exploring park offerings, bird-watching, reading a good book in peaceful surroundings, and other possibilities), Dutch oven meals and cooking, campfires with s’mores, and meaningful outdoor worship together.
