Camper Info for Our 2014 Trips!

chuck_webListed below are the details regarding accommodations for each State Park. Reservations are on a first come-first served basis for all accommodations on all trips.

Food costs will be $5 per meal for adults and $2 per meal for children 12 and younger. We will have worship together around the campfire (and s’mores, of course!), hiking, canoeing and kayaking, outdoor games, fishing — or just relaxing and reading a good book and renewing your soul in solitude, star gazing in God’s other great sanctuary and many other healthy outdoor activities. You will enjoy meeting new people and experiencing some fantastic fellowship.

In case of cancellation prior to departure, here are the parks policies and I will make your cancellation for you and refund your payment excluding fees –“ If (cancellation) more than 3 days from day of arrival – refund will be given minus a $5 administrative fee per site plus any additional reservation charges. If less than 3 days from day of arrival – customer will lose the first day’s payment on each site, plus any additional reservation charges”. I will refund your total food costs which you pay at the time of your reservation. Please make your check payable for the sites and food to “First United Methodist Church” with a notation “Camping Retreat Ministry” and leave it in my mailbox at the church office and we will reserve your site. Please contact me if you have questions or any dietary needs for our food preparation.

We will be planning more camping trips in the fall (one to Beaver’s Bend State Park in Oklahoma), along with our Canadian Wilderness Retreat (see information below and I need payment soon) and please let me know if you would like to serve on our planning task force for future camping outings.

Some of you have contacted me previously regarding your interest in attending these various camping retreats and please confirm with me once again your reservations. You can see more details regarding the campsites and parks at http://tpwd.state.tx.us/state-parks and click on the specific state park you wish to review.

Also, Beth and Dan Cooper send their appreciation to you for sharing your sympathies and for providing food for them and their family. They are extremely grateful and sent a card thanking you all.
