The holiday season has come and gone. The music presented during the Advent season was spectacular and meaningful. I am truly grateful for all the talents this church possesses as it pertains to music. With that, I want to inform you of some upcoming opportunities to hear yet more outstanding music.
This Sunday, January, 22, in our traditional worship services, we will have our wonderful Bluegrass Band, Crossroad Singers, as the music of choice. You will want to be a part of this unique and exciting musical experience.
On Sunday, January, 29, the Singing Men of First Church will be in the loft in both the 9:30 and 11:00 am services. I can promise you that your emotions will be filled with both warmth and excitement as these talented men present two anthems for your pleasure.
Then on Sunday, February, 5, our wonderful Youth Choir, Cornerstone, will be the feature in the 11:00 am service only. Please plan to be a part of this service as we continue to support our youth in their singing.
Finally THIS Saturday, January 21, at 5:00 pm, you will NOT want to miss a concert opportunity in our Sanctuary. The first-ever Greater Tarrant Men’s Choir: An EcuMENical Chorus will be in concert under the guest direction of Dr. Chris Aspaas of TCU. Also in the concert will be a feature men’s choir, TCU Frog Corps! The GTMC is a choir that we are beginning in hopes that men from other churches in the area will join us in singing sacred music in a unique setting. I’m excited about creating this potentially powerful group of fine singers. I hope you will consider being a part of this wonderful concert on Saturday at 5:00 pm here in our Sanctuary.
