Disaster Response

Short-Term Domestic Mission Opportunities

Our Texas & Beyond Outreach ministries offer opportunities to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those in need, from short-term local projects to statewide disaster relief to worldwide mission opportunities. In volunteering for and giving to these ministries, you help FUMCFW reach beyond the walls of our church and ongoing local outreach ministries to Love God, Serve People, and Transform Lives throughout the state and around the world.

You can donate using the special envelope provided in worship May 6 – June 3, by check (payable to FUMCFW with Texas & Beyond in the memo line) mailed or brought to the Main Church Office, or online at fumcfw.org/givenow (choose Texas & Beyond from the drop-down menu).

Costa Rica Mission

Part of our Mission Teams Ministries, our Costa Rica Mission has served those in need through the construction of a church, medical clinic, parsonage, and children’s home. Plus, our team of medical volunteers provides assistance at the clinic.

Kenya Mission

Part of our Mission Teams Ministries, our Kenya Mission provides children with school uniforms and tuition, supporting educational opportunities that improve their chances for a brighter future.

Disaster Response

We support UMCOR disaster relief efforts with our gifts and trained Early Response Team members who serve as a Christian caring presence in many different roles for those affected by disasters. Training sessions are provided throughout the year. In addition, our Spiritual Care Team helps victims with spiritual needs.

Short-Term Domestic Mission Opportunities

You can still serve without committing to an international mission trip or training for disaster response. FUMCFW continually offers other mission opportunities in our area including builds with Habitat for Humanity, painting with Cowtown Brush Up, serving meals at the Fort Worth Ronald McDonald House, and household repairs for church members, by church members through Neighbor 2 Neighbor.
