One last note before the weekend . . .
Academy WILL be in full swing the next two Sundays.
For those headed out of town before Sunday — safe travels!
And a few dates I want to make sure you have in mind:
December 4 — Children First WORSHIP at 9:45 am, featuring our children in the Nativity scene.
(If you haven’t already, please let me know if you’d like your child to participate.)
December 4 — Christmas Cheer is from 2:30 – 5:30 pm. This has some of the same PLAY aspects of Halloween Carnival and Easter Egg Hunt.
And it also has the SERVE component of going to sing Christmas carols for shut-ins.
December 14 — Polar Express Party from 5:30 – 7:30 pm. (Dinner, movie, hot chocolate, and a cameo appearance by the guy in the red suit.)
December 24 — Christmas Eve Family services — Take your pick of 3:30 or 5:00 pm. Or BOTH. Each will have our cherished traditions of candlelight, Christmas carols, Communion, the wondrous story of Jesus birth, and our kid-favorite Christmas puppet play.
So if it’s in December, and there’s a 4 in the date, there’s something going on.
Happy Weekend!
Mark
