The time I spend with God determines both the direction and quality of the time I spend elsewhere. — Randy Alcorn
“The art of life lies in a constant readjustment to our surroundings.” Kakuzo Okakura, The Book of Tea Ask my grown children and they will tell you: I am old-school. I still buy books, I don’t “download them.” I am not, nor have I ever been, on social media. I’m not…
Amidst the mess and the noise and the chaos that came with snow days also came an opportunity to be part of the lives of those kids, and to enjoy with them the fun and wonder of the weather and a surprise day off from school.
When my kids were little, without fail, I got them up, dressed, fed and out the door in time for school. However, for some strange reason, on Sundays, it was always a struggle to get to church on time.
It’s time to gear up for my absolute favorite holiday: Thanksgiving!
Although we did have to postpone our Sunday Celebration of Gratitude on Fifth Street a couple of weeks ago, I can’t wait to enjoy gathering together as a church to celebrate this Sunday!
Dr. Tim Bruster, Senior Pastor at FUMCFW, ends the Traditional Services in the Sanctuary with the same Benediction every week.
“The fellowship of the Holy Spirit . . . means participation — partaking with and subsequently sharing with others . . . “
“You don’t have to join the church. But you are invited to. Wherever you are in your journey of faith, you are loved by God, redeemed by Christ, and showered with grace through the Holy Spirit.”
